No further entry fee will be payable.  Start/Finish Area for final race  THIRD PRELIMINARY RACE - 06 OCTOBER 2013 Please note that the 5K at Six Road, if run, offers the final opportunity to participate in the final NSC 5K on 24 November, 2013 starting/finishing at the Co-operators General Insurance HQ in Upper Collymore Rock, St. Michael We have managed to rid the 2012 Six Road 5K run route of: one trip through the Six Roads Roundabout, two sharp left turns at the start, the awkward transition through the pedestrian crossing accompanied by three shartp turns at the finish by simply reversing the route - running it anticlockwise (counter clockwise) in 2013. The start would now falls some150 m south of the Roundabout (at the southern entrance to Emerald City shopping centre) and the approach to the finish provides a smooth right turn. The Police should now experience fewer problems managing the traffic. Please see attached map segments showing the entire route, the start/finish zone and the path through Emerald Park West from its junction on Highway 6 (the road to Foursquare Rum Factory) to its eastern entrance in the region of Four Roads. I have used the words "outbound" and "inbound" on the maps as the linguistic substitute for "arrows" which some readers don't appear to notice!  SECOND PRELIMINARY RACE - 29 SEPTEMBER 2013 The 2nd NSC Preliminary 5K will start at the Bay Street Esplanade on Sunday 29th September at 5:00 PM. Please recall that the runners will share the same route with the Globeatron Walkers who will start at 4:00 PM. Do note that Globeatron will have a massive turn-out thus you should make a plan for parking your vehicle well in advance. It would make sense to arrive at the Esplanade before 4:00 PM. I suspect that the Police will close the Bay Street if Globeatron gets 600 to 800 participants. Later in the week, I will inform you where to took for the NSC Registration desk in the Esplanade area. The $20.00 paid by persons who ran the Speightstown event covers the race fee for the entire series. "New entrants" will pay $20.00 Do make an effort to participate in an expected fast 5K where you can get a personal best for 2013. Please see the route map below.  FIRST PRELIMINARY RACE - 22 SEPTEMBER 2013 The first NSC preliminary 5K races takes place Sunday 29th September 2013 at 4:30 PM starting and finishing at the Speightstown Esplanade.REGISTRATION: 3:15 PM to 4:15 PM - thus allowing the final 15 minutes for warm-up and instructions etc. prior to the start ROUTE: Please see the map below.
