UFUKUZO developed this route for the Masters Athletic programme organised by Dr. Dennis Blackman in the early 2000s. Athletes run the first 700 metres on the track – starting at the normal track 1500 meter START but run in the REVERSE direction. They leave the Stadium through the Nova Scotia Gate and run as the below map. Then on return, they enter the National Stadium through the Nova Scotia Gate, join the athletic track at the normal 200 meter START and run the final 600 meters on the track in the normal direction. They finish at the official FINISH line in the stadium.
NOTE THAT BECAUSE OF THE ONGOING WORK INSIDE THE NATIONAL STADIUM, THE 2013 RACE WILL START AND FINISH OUTSIDE OF THE NATIONAL STADIUM.
